Chad government closes its airports from passenger planes for two weeks despite recording zero Coronavirus cases. The Government says the move will help the country continue with its activities without fear of coronavirus in the country. They also closed its borders for one month.


The resolution was made on Monday with the north-central African country’s government saying the measure starts with an immediate effect.


It was also noted in the statement that the ban does not apply to planes transporting goods.


The government added that it is imposing “strictly limit movement outside refugee camps." Chad is home to 465,000 refugees.


Airforce Troops are manning the Chad airports for two weeks. The Government has also deployed more forces to the borders to re-enforce the existing.
