Company hopper Polycarp Igathe joins Equity Bank after resigning at Vivo Energy

Three Days after resigning Vivo energy as Director, Mr Polycarp Igathe has moved back to equity bank. He is now the Group chief commercial officer at the Equity group.


Mr Polycarp Igathe resigned in 2017 at Vivo energy to pursue politics. He was deputising Nairobi governor Mike Sonko. He later resigned in 2018 citing frustrations from the governor.


Mr Igathe was appointed as Group chief commercial officer at Equity Bank.  In 2019 he resigned at equity bank and went back to Vivo Energy.


The Former Nairobi Deputy Governor Polycarp Igathe returns to Equity Bank as Group chief commercial officer soon after resigning from Vivo Energy on last Friday.


Former Vivo Energy CEO Polycarp Igathe resigned four times in three years(2017-2020) in senior positions. As people cry of unemployment, Mr Igathe has been moving and hopping from company to the other as well as Politics.
