COVID-19: DG Eng. Gideon Saburi extended chain of contacts reached Raila, Shahbal, Kingi, Joho etc

The suspected coronavirus chain increased after the Kilifi deputy Gideon Saburi tested positive of coronavirus. His unique case outline how the virus can move very fast after shaking hands as well as meeting prominent people.


DG Saburi met Rabai MCAs at a hotel in Mazeras, later went to a club in Bamburi Mombasa. The MCAs met their PAs, families, friends while others met their side dish(boyfriends and girlfriends). The list goes on and on.



Deputy Governor Eng. Saburi meets Governor Amason Kingi who is also on self-quarantined. Then, Kilifi Governor Kingi alleged met ODM leader Raila Odinga in Mombasa with Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and few MPs and MCAs. Then Raila Odinga met former Mombasa gubernatorial aspirant Suleiman Shahbal at his hotel.



Then Raila Odinga flew to Nairobi. He visited Jubilee Secretary-General Raphael Tuju later joined by Deputy President William Ruto, Senate majority leader Kipchumba Murkomen, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria among others. The list goes on.


The government however outlined measures to curb the virus. " This virus is not a joke, " Health CS Mutahi Kagwe said.


The angry CS added that the government will be forced to re-enforce the directives. " We do not want to go to Italy way. Italy lost more than 700 people in 24 hours. People should strictly follow directives to avoid this calamity, " he said.

The example shows how bad it can be if people do not take government directives seriously. Please, the best way is to stay at home if you can.
