 Italy surpasses China with coronavirus deaths. The new coronavirus cases in Italy rose to 42,000. Deaths toll 3,500. 5,322 new cases in Milan in a single day. China had 3,425 deaths. Now China has suppressed the virus and no more death reported.


2,700 cases reported in the UK. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said the country will pose activities by Monday next week.


During Thursday press briefing by President Donald Trump, he said that chloroquine, a drug used to treat malaria and severe arthritis, was approved by the Food and Drug Administration to test as a COVID-19 coronavirus treatment. Other antiviral medications will be fast-tracked for FDA approval as the number of cases continues to increase to 11,000.


" They chloroquine will be employed in a clinical trial, " the FDA commissioner Dr Stephen Hahn said.



"We will collect that data and make the absolute right decisions based upon those data about the safety and efficacy of the treatments,” said Hahn.

President Donald Trump also insisted that the White House has “gashed red tape” to speed up approval for vaccines and other treatments.

Italy is said to exceed China in total deaths while China reported good news. The epicentre city of Wuhan and the surrounding province reported no new domestic cases.
