Kamoti, Mbeyu, Chonga and Mung'aro to self-quarantine as Deputy Governor Gideon Saburi tests Positive

Kilifi deputy Governor Gideon Saburi to be charged after being released from hospital. He was forcefully quarantined after he deliberately mingled with people and risked them.


However, the Health CS Mutahi Kagwe warned the administrators and public officials who fail to follow the rules will be charged and action will be taken against them.


" All persons who violate the self-quarantine requirement will be forcefully quarantined at their cost and thereafter arrested and charged. This will apply to a senior government official in Kilifi who refused to self-quarantine, " CS Mutahi Kagwe.


Now according to the county reports, Kilifi Women Representative Hon Gertrude Mbeyu, Kilifi south Mp Hon. Ken Chonga, Rabai Mp Hon. William Kamoti, Lands CAS Hon. Gideon Mungaro, the Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi and several Kilifi county CeCs interacted with the Deputy Governor in the last 10 days.




Several people are said to be in-contact with the deputy Governor in Kilifi. The Kilifi county government, however, said approximately 300 people come into contact with the county executive.


The Deputy Governor is said to have visited four funerals immediately after jetting in from Germany and International Women's day in Rabai.


However, they were directed to self-quarantine upon testing. CS Mutahi Kagwe said that the virus is not a joke. He furiously said " Social gathering is like committing suicide, "
