Curfew from 7 pm to 5 AM from Friday 27th March 2020 daily until further notice. Kenyans will not be allowed to move from places across the country beyond 7 PM. Kenyans must be in their houses from that time.

President Uhuru Kenyatta says there is a reduction of the turnover tax rate from 3% to 1% for all micro small and medium enterprises.

The President also touched on Salaries reduction. The reduction of salaries in the Executive is as follows: The president and DP 80%, Cabinet Secretaries 30%, Chief Admin secretaries 30%, Public Secretaries 20% pay cuts.

The national treasury moves to parliament to offer the following immediate relief 100% tax relief of those earning up to 24,000 reductions of the income tax rate from its current max of 30% to 25%.

Social distancing is now our new normal. The President said people must adhere to the rule of social distancing and washing hands regularly as the only quick way of reducing the infections.

Kenyans to follow all measures given by different Ministries to combat the spread of Coronavirus.

There will be a temporary suspension of the listing with Credit Reference Bureaus (CRB) of any person, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and corporate entities whose loan account fall overdue or in arrears effective 1st April 2020.

There will be an appropriation of an additional Ksh. 10B to the elderly, orphans and other vulnerable members of our society through cash transfers by the Ministry of Labour and social protection to cushion them from adverse economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
