Detectives work on possible scenarios surrounding the death of Prof Ken Walibora. One possible scenario according to specialists is that he was either hijacked, struggled, wrestled and got out of the mission with a cut upon rushing for safety, he was hit by a Matatu.

However, experts also have another possibility. He left the car somewhere else then hit by the Matatu accidental. 

Ken Walibora’s body was found at Kenyatta National Hospital mortuary on Wednesday but events from Friday the 10th of April 2020 continues to be a puzzle.

The postmortem carried by the government’s chief pathologist Dr Johansen Odour admits that his death is a complex maze.


“He had a cracked jaw on his right side, his right hand was broken and also he had a clot on his right side of the head, and he had lost two teeth all these are common with a motor vehicle accident,” says Dr Oduor.


“He had a wound cut caused by a sharp knife on the space between his thumb and the index finger which is not familiar with motor vehicle accidents,” reveals the government pathologist.


The circumstances encircling his death took place at around 9.30 am, an ambulance was called but failed to take him to the hospital upon arrival, a Nairobi county government ambulance later rushed him to Kenyatta National Hospital.


He waited at the hospital’s emergency area without being attended to from 10.30 am, throughout the day until at midnight when he passed away.
