GSU who were deployed in Malindi

Malindi Town Ward MCA Hon David Kadenge strongly condemns the action from the police officers beating up residents at randomly. Hon Kadenge told Bana News that he has tried to reach Kilifi Governor Amason Jeffah Kingi to intervene but efforts to reach him did not bore any fruits.

His remarks were backed up by Kakuyuni MCA Nixon Mramba who said GSU officials ordered businessmen to close their businesses while whipping them.

He added that Coronavirus has already hit the businesses, closing them was like committing suicide as the majority depend on hand to mouth wages and small-businesses.

However, Malindi Police base commander Vitalis Otieno says they will continue with the operation to seek out all those who violate the Government's directive against the Corona disaster. Mr Otieno also says eight people have already been arrested in the search and are expected to appear in court.
