Mombasa businessman Suleiman Shahbal meet KANU boss Gideon Moi

Mombasa tycoon meets KANU chairman Gideon Moi to plan on Post COVID-19 economy, especially in Mombasa. The Gulf bank founder Mr Suleiman Shahbal says the talks involved reviving the Mombasa port operations and the free trade zone.


The KANU boss on his side says Kenya is on the way for more job creation. The Uhuru Kenyatta government has negotiated with Japan Government on the construction of the free trade zone.


" This morning I met with Senator Gideon Moi, Chairman of KANU. We discussed the current state of our country and the challenges we are facing from COVID 19," Mr Shahbal said.


" I have emphasized to him that the country needs urgent planning on a recovery strategy and implementation plan. We need to create jobs again quickly,"  he added.


Discussing on the free zone, Mr Suleiman Shahbal said Mombasa has bigger challenges the free zone only can not solve that.


 “We discussed the Port Free Zone and the challenges facing Mombasa. We have agreed to work together with all people that share a common vision to bring peace, prosperity and unity to our country,” he added.

Some suggestions were to have Changamwe an industrial area because it well connected and accessible to the port. 


Business to mentor others, to start more businesses and make the county back as a business vibrant city.
