Youths in Africa have been on the rise. Namibia state appoints over five ministers who are under 40 years.

The most developing country in Africa with the economy rated number one in Africa has embraced youth empowerment than any country in Africa.

Botswana’s newly appointed 32-year-old minister Bogolo Joy Kenewendo as one of the youngest ministers boosts youth empowerment in Africa.

At 32 she is Botswana’s youngest minister, in charge of investment, trade and industry.

Kenewendo was one of the ministers appointed by Botswana’s new president Mokgweetsi Masisi, who in his inaugural address pledged to invest in the youth and create job opportunities for them.

Despite coronavirus pandemic in Botswana, their economy has not staggered beyond 1 percent.

Emma Theofelus, 23, was appointed Namibia’s information, communication and technology deputy minister a week after coronavirus hit Namibian shores. “I have been learning on the job so far,” she says.

She is also a member of parliament in the Namibia parliament.
