A promising artist Nadia Mukami says it's over on social media following trolls. She follows the footsteps of popular comedian Mulamwah.
"Am writing this with tears in my eyes and they are already swollen because of crying. I know I'm a public figure so I need not show emotions, ” she posted.
The artiste says social media has caused more pain over insults.
Nadia Mukami, in the emotional post, cited cyber-bullying as the reason for her quitting social media, however saying she will not last forever in the cold and will eventually return.
The ‘Maombi’ hitmaker rubbished discerned societal objectives that public figures should never display their emotions.
According to her, “this has been a month of one pain after another” and so “I will show my emotions"
“I know they say I am a public figure, I need not show emotions; I will show my emotions, " she said.
"There isn’t an insult I haven’t received. All levels of explicit insults,” she wrote.
"I am always the strongest among my friends; they say God doesn’t give you something you can’t handle, I wish he didn’t trust me this much every time!! Am taking a break, I will be back,”
