Labour day celebrations in Kenya

Labour day 2020 celebrations at a low key after most of the countries were in lockdown and banned social gathering.

Central Organization trade Union boss Francis Atwoli says it directs the labour day celebrations to the health workers.

"It's the worker’s community which is the actual backbone of the world economy," he said.

Across the world, other nations celebrated in a low keynote.

" Today is the day to acknowledge and celebrate the amazing efforts of all the workers who have given their sweat and blood in building our nation a magnificent land," Indian labour official sandhguru posted.



“Total involvement in work does not kill you. It can make you far more resilient, competent, and effective in everything you do.” Sadhguru quote.


Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder hosted the tricolour occasionally of Labour Day and thanked all the workers for their contribution in the fight against Covid-19.


He also appealed to the Centre to support the States financially during this crisis.


"Join us in dedicating this day to our brothers and sisters in the Healthy sector, for keeping us healthy," Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko applaud health workers.
