Malindi Sub-County hospital gets equipments to carry COVID-19 tests for Lamu and Tana River counties

Kilifi county gets a second Covid-19 testing centre after KEMRI. Malindi Sub-County hospital will be used as a second testing centre.


Malindi will be the main testing centre for other two counties. Lamu hospitals and Tana River hospitals will be taking samples to the hospital after getting certified.


"Malindi Sub-County Hospital Lab is Kilifi County can now undertake Covid-19 testing, " healthy CAS Dr Radhid Aman stated.


"The new status will reduce test workload at Kemri-Kilifi, "



The Lab will also carry tests for Lamu and Tana River Counties. Malindi Sub-County Hospital Lab is now ISO certified.
