Murang'a women representative Sabina Chege defends President Uhuru Kenyatta move of cleaning up Jubilee party saying some legislators have been disloyal and disrespectful.


She defended the cash meant for the pandemic that President Uhuru Kenyatta administration could not allow anything to happen under his watch.


"Covid-19 money is safe. My Health Committee is over-sighting well, " she said on a Citizen Television interview with Wahiga Mwaura.


Kikuyu Mp Kimani Ichungwah, who is among those in chopping board defended himself over his loyalty status to the president.


"I will never betray President Uhuru Kenyatta in terms of his agenda. As to whether I will agree with him on everything, that is debatable, " he said on the interview Sabina Chege.



"I expect he will be democratic enough to allow me to have a divergent opinion,"


" I am allied to Jubilee as a political party that had Uhuru Kenyatta as President and William Ruto as Deputy President. I have been faithful to the President, the party and party leadership…There is no civil war in Jubilee, " he added.



However, the jubilee leadership termed him as a traitor and an enemy to the party and President Uhuru Kenyatta.




"The President’s enemies are those who do not tell him the truth. I believe the Jubilee party is salvageable, "



" Political parties are not private property. If we want to change Parliament leadership, we must follow laid down procedures, " he added.
