Uhuru Raila wrangle begin
President Uhuru Kenyatta with ODM Raila Odinga in a past event

Battle of supremacy begins at the statehouse as President Uhuru Kenyatta prefers Gideon Moi than Raila Odinga. New Senate majority whip Irungu Kang'ata hints that there is looming cabinet reshuffle which will include Senator Gideon Moi confidants.

The new deal comes after another agreement that seems to hit a dead end with ODM leader Raila Odinga.

ODM leader Raila Odinga gets a major blow after President Uhuru Kenyatta rejected his demand for a 50 per cent share in the new coalition.

President Kenyatta noted that KANU will be better because they already signed an agreement.

However, Gideon Moi had a meeting with KANU officials over the weekend and resolved to support President Uhuru Kenyatta big four.

The Members proposed names who will be added to the cabinet in the next reshuffle.

Raila is said to have clasped in demanding the lucrative dockets of Health, Devolution, Energy, Transport and Lands some of which President Uhuru is unwillingly to let go.

The deal is now believed to have hit a dead end with Raila reported to have been offered an office within the office of the President instead. The said office will oversee economic recovery post-COVID-19.

Sources said Raila is not keen with the position considering that he will be just like any other government appointee.

ODM Chairperson John Mbadi was the first to throw cold water on the proposed Raila's new office saying even caretaker at a Cabinet Secretary's office was better than the proposed office.

However, they agreed on a referendum where there will be Prime Minister with two deputies. Already there are plans to repair the deputy President Harambee office to accommodate two Prime Minister deputies.
