Duncan Mugambi was beaten by Police at his home in Voi. His wife Mary Mugambi was assaulted with her 8 months old. 


He was beaten by three policemen from Voi police station. The man was at his home at 6.45 pm when he was closing his gate. The Police pushed the gate and blows landed on the Bodaboda rider even before the curfew hours.


According to Citizen Television, the assaulted is nursing injuries at a local clinic at Kaloleni area, Voi.


His brother tried to rescue him but he was equally beaten by the same Police saying he did not wear a mask. 


The family now wants taken to be taken against the three officers. 


" I was at home. Because of the curfew, I close my business at 6.00 pm. So that by 6.30 pm or 6.45 pm to be at home, " 



" When I was closing my gate at home, three police officers pushed it and started beating me. They said I was late beating the curfew hours, " 



" They also struck my eight months child. In the fracas, my brother was injured and wife wounded, " Mr Mugambi said.




Police in Voi has been on the spot brutality. Just a month after another man was beaten by the same police officer for not wearing a facemask then later charged with attempted rape.



Police spokesman Charles Owino defended the police brutality ongoing in the country saying the Police are " Young and Drunk in the little power."
