Mr Abraham Murgor, chairperson of Eldoret Bodaboda Sacco has been killed.

Murgor’s maimed body was on Saturday morning (July 25) found discarded in a maize farm near his Ilula home in Eldoret East.

Murgor’s head had extensive panga cuts and his eyes had been scooped out.

According to the deceased’s wife, Christine Ongayo, she last communicated with her spouse at 8 pm Friday, after which his phone went off.

“I tried calling him several times, but his cellphone line remained unreachable. I was shocked to be informed that his body had been found dumped in a maize plantation near our home,” the widow said.

Murgor’s motorcycle was found a few meters from where his body had been dumped.

Following the spread of news about Murgor’s death, bodaboda operators in Eldoret Town on Saturday morning protested against their leader’s killing, blocking major roads.

Anti-riot police were, disposed to suppress potential anxieties.

The operatives contemplate their leader was killed for vigorously guarding their rights against “oppressors”.
