Kitui Banker chop-off his private parts after his wife disappeared to an unknown destination

A depressed man in Kitui chopped off his private parts then tried to slit his throat in what the Police termed it as suicide.


The Police have launched investigations over the matter. However, the motive behind it is yet to be revealed.

According to neighbours, the man is said to working in a bank at Kitui town. The man was retrenched last month, his wife and children all ran away.

He has been staying alone for the past 20 days after the wives' move.


Police say attempted suicide is illegal and the man will be taken to mental check-up before being charged. He has been hospitalized at Kitui level 5 hospital.


Migwani police station in Kitui received a call after neighbours said the man was found screaming and writhing in pain in his house.


“The scene was immediately visited and it was found out the victim had chopped off his private parts using a sharp knife," the OB said.
