Saba Saba is a day symbolic of the Peoples struggle for multiparty democracy in Kenya and right to assemble.


How can Kenyans be unlawfully detained at Kilimani, Kayole and Kariobangi Police Stations for coming out to celebrate the day?


The law society President Nelson Havi says the arrested should be released forthwith.

" On this day we celebrate Activists - Women, Men and their families who have sacrificed so much for Kenya. We will celebrate and protect the liberties that we enjoy because of you. Aluta Continua, " former CJ Willy Mutunga said.




Protesters gathering at social justice centres in Mathare, Kayole and Dandora for the Saba Saba commemorative march have already been teargassed and some arrested.



The march was supposed to start at 11am.



The arrested include; Kelvin Aroni, Nicole Nandi,  Tobias Orao,  Collins Ochieng, Floice Ochieka,  Isaac Amunga among others.
