Safaricom PLC partners with Google to bring #LipaMdogoMdogo on 4G smartphones targeting the feature phone customers to upgrade.


Through smartphone device financing, Safaricom is planning on ensuring that every Kenyan can use a 4G device for the first time without putting a dent on their wallets.


Safaricom still targeting those on 2G before targeting 3G and 4G users who want to upgrade. Targeting the unconverted first.


The devices will be powered by the Android Operating system. Safaricom PLC partners with Google to provide the service in Kenya.


The move comes after Telkom partnered with google providing 4G network through google balloon.
