The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission(EACC) summons the new Bomet County Assembly Speaker Nelson Mutai and Clerk Isaac Kitur over last Friday's turmoil at the assembly.


EACC says they have summoned others for questioning including 20 individuals who claimed to be behind the chaos and who violated the leadership and integrity code of conduct.


They include 13 MCAs, 3 sergeant-at-arms and 4 aspirants. They are to report from next Monday to Wednesday at the commission’s regional offices in Nakuru.
 
 

Regional Manager Hassan Khalid on behalf of the commission’s CEO, requested those listed to report in person for questioning.

In the list is sergeant-at-arms Gideon Terer, Erick Korir and Edward Rop.


The aspirants include; Cheruiyot Tamogei, Cherotich Clara, Edwin Sitienei and Weldon Chirchir.


The elected MCAs are Wesly Kiprotich (Chepchabas) who was the acting speaker, Josphat Kirui (Ndarawetta) Maritim Andrew (Nyangores), Leonard Kirui (Siongiroi), Davies Kipkirui (Longisa), Alfred Langat (Singorwet), Robert Rono (Sigor), Robert Serbai (Embomos), Vincent Mutai, Hellen Chepkorir, Ngeny Leonard, Cecilia Mutai and Janet Turgut.
