Thirdway Alliance Party members suspend their party leader Dr. Ekuru Aukot over financial indecency and opaque leadership to his members.

National Executive Committee (NEC) resolved to kick him out following a meeting held on Wednesday at the party's headquarters.

During the meeting, NEC analysed several complaints raised against Aukot by party members, including self-enrichment, non-accountability and lack of transparency.

Dr Aukot also allegedly assaulted his deputy Dr. Angela Mwikalio using harsh words which were later published by online bloggers as well as harrasing female members.

He is also accused of flouting a court order in a children's case, hence violating Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.

The party's NEC suspended Aukot immediately and barred him from representing or transacting any business on behalf of the party.

Dr Aukot also directed to appear before the party disciplinary committee at a communicated later date.
