Kipchumba Murkomen with Susan Kihika

Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen says he will vehemently oppose the proposed amendments on the BBI if they do not support people empowerment and making livelihoods better.

Jubilee party has been in scant force after emerging rifts that led to the creation of Tangatanga and Kieleweke.

" If the BBI referendum will mirror the divisive agenda we have witnessed in the Senate, if it shall be reversing the gains on devolution or increasing layers of governance or taking services far from the people, I WILL OPPOSE IT and I am ready to lead the NO Campaigns, " he said.

However, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria joined the senator in the BBI debate saying people voted to represent them in getting money to the counties.

" Senator we sent you to seek consensus on the Revenue Sharing Formula, not BBI. Is this the white smoke?" MP Kuria said.

Many people had different thoughts of scaling down the bloated government but ODM boss has been pushing for more seats currently thrusting for 14 regional governors.
