High Court judge Justice Mumbi Ngugi says five properties and three motor vehicles owned by the Ngirita family be taken by the state.

The Judge terminated applications that the over Sh300 million deposited in their accounts was rightfully deposited by NYS.

Justice Mumbi Ngugi added that the funds were transferred fraudulently and the properties they purchased in the period they obtained the funds from NYS are proceeds of crime.

KCH 753U Toyota station wagon belonging to Phylis Njeri Ngirita and Opportunity international WEDCO limited, KCH 600H Toyota station wagon registered in the name of Lucy Wambui Ngirita and Platinum Credit limited and KCH 889M Toyota pickup in the names of Jeremiah Gichina Ngirita and Platinum Limited will now be forfeited to the State.

The properties include a parcel of land in Waitaluk in Kitale, covering 0.70 hectares,  registered in the name of Sylvia Ajiambo Ongoro.

The Ngirita family has been battling NYS 2 scandal at the court for more than three years now.
