Mary Njeri kills Beatrice Onyango, 37, for eloping with her husband John Simba -Kirinyaga

Beatrice Onyango, 37, killed by Mary Njeri while Beatrice daughter watched on Saturday, suspected to be botched love triangle at Kwa V trading centre in Mutithi ward, Kirinyaga County.


She died after reportedly stabbed eight times by Mary Njeri who blamed the deceased of having a secret love affair with her  10 years marriage husband.


The deceased’s daughter Alice Akinyi, 23,  said she was in her house when she heard her mother’s screams and, upon coming out, found Njeris' Knee on her mother's neck.


Akinyi wrestled with her mother but the suspect overpowered them, turned on her and chased her around with the knife in an attempt to stab her as well.


Confirming the incident, area Assistant Chief Christina Gathoni Muriithi said she arrived on the scene after being called by the deceased’s daughter, adding that the suspect fled on a motorcycle.


The Chief further added that the suspect’s husband and the love triangle pivotal man, John Simba, 40, consumed poison in an attempt to commit suicide after being informed of the incident.


Mr Simba has since been rushed to the Kerugoya Referral Hospital while deceased body was also taken to the same facility’s mortuary pending postmortem as police launch investigations.
