Microsoft declares to be removing Internet Explorer browser from the market from August 17, 2021.
Microsoft Teams browser app will not patch and sustain Internet Explorer 11 from November 30, 2020.
All other Microsoft 365 apps and services will cease supporting the browser next year.
Microsoft replaces with Microsoft Edge, borrowing much on Chromium open-source software.
Edge started in 2015.
Customers will be forced to install and upgrade their browser or else will not be able to connect to 365 apps on the aged browser.
New 365 apps will not be able to run on the aged browser and forced to upgrade.
"...we believe that customers will get the most out of Microsoft 365 when using the new Microsoft Edge. We are committed to helping make this transition as smooth as possible," Microsoft said.
Consumers have continued utilising IE 11 as of 2013 when the online setting was much lightly complex than now.
"We believe that Microsoft 365 subscribers, in both consumer and commercial contexts, will be well served with this change through faster and more responsive web access to greater sets of features in everyday tool sets like Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and more," it noted.
The publication has awaited by some consumers who were frustrated after Microsoft started its Edge browser five years ago without continuing progress.
In 2015, Microsoft had verified that it plans to quit the Internet Explorer label and proceed to the new Edge, which previously codenamed Project Spartan.
