Mombasa fruit vendor collapses and dies instantly along Moi Avenue, Ganjoni area

A Mombasa fruit vendor dies mysteriously. He works as a fruit vendor along Moi avenue.



The man collapsed and died after developing breathing complications on Saturday.


The vendor was on his business along Moi Avenue in Ganjoni area, Mombasa County when the incident happened.


Mombasa Urban OCPD Eliud Monari that health officers from the county have been alerted about the incident, and were on they were heading to the scene.


“The deceased will be taken to the Coast General Referral Hospital morgue, where his samples will be taken for COVID-19 testing and a postmortem conducted to ascertain his cause of death,” said Monari.
