Deputy President William Ruto now accuses the opposition party ODM of advising how the continuing KEMSA disgrace should be managed.

Via Twitter account, DP Ruto said that the action by ODM to cover the ongoing investigations at KEMSA ‘is not surprising.’

"The pretentious (former) Opposition, now turned Lords of corruption, attempted defence of the COVID-19 grand theft is not shocking," Ruto said.

Ruto alleges that the continuing investigations concerning the theft of COVID-19 donations show that handshake was never engaged in the people's goodwill.

“It proves the worst of Kenyan's fears that their side of the handshake was never involved in the people's good but opportunity to loot. What a shame,” Ruto said.

Ruto was reacting to the comment emanated by ODM on Saturday, where they reprimanded him for saying at least he is not associated with the ongoing graft.

The announcement signed by ODM party secretary-general Edwin Sifuna declared that “It is worrying to learn no less a senior government official than the DP go public with the juvenile and inappropriate remark that at least now nobody will blame me for robbing COVID-19 funds.”
