EACC officers raid the KEMSA offices in Nairobi.They raided at around 9.30 am without any notice.


The EACC officials secured all gates with no staff being permitted to leave.
 

The officers were seen taking away computers from the reception and other offices under tight security.


Police guarded the KEMSA entrance as the EACC officials raided the offices at Industrial Area on September 9, 2020.  
 
The board of the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority was on Tuesday questioned over their approach in the procurement of drugs and other goods meant to address the ongoing pandemic.


They were grilled at the EACC headquarters in Nairobi over unprocedural tenders worth billions.


At least 5 elite politicians, over 10 top government officials and directors of 50 companies were mentioned and are linked to the KEMSA scandal. They will be expected to be questioned at EACC headquarters next week.


According to the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, they are pursuing politicians from both the ruling Jubilee party and the Opposition party ODM.


Some of the vocal politicians mentioned are among those who have caused a political storm in the country recently.
