Rapper Brian Ouko Omollo alias Khaligraph Jones gets, for the first, nominated for this year’s BET Hip Hop Awards scheduled to for October 27, 2020.
Kaligraph Jones is the only East African chosen for the awards after battling in the Best International Flow category.
His nomination will see him fight the likes of; Nasty C (South Africa), DJonga (Brazil), Kaaris (France), Meryl (France) Ms banks (UK) and Stormzy (UK).
“Yooooooooh, KHALIGRAPH JONES IS A MOVEMENT, My 1st Ever BET Nomination in The Best International Flow Category, The OG Shall be respected Cc @bet_africa @bet,” he wrote.
Fans and colleagues congratulated his move as well as pledge to rally behind him for votes.
This is the 15th Annual BET Hip Hop Awards, honouring the past year in hip hop music across 17 categories.
American star DaBaby who is the winner of the 2019 Hip Hop Awards under “Best New Hip Hop Artist,” leads this year’s nominations with 12 nominations.
He is followed closely by Roddy Ricch who has 11 nominations.
