Sleuths arrest Joseph Gakono after getting hints from the public. He has been obtaining money through false pretence and fraud.
According to Police records, several people recorded statements over fraud and cheating from Gakono and his associates.
According to Gichugu sub-county Police commander Anthony Mbogo, detectives were trailing the suspect following numerous accusations.
During the Monday afternoon arrest, the suspect was attacked by cops while selling two Ostrich eggs for Ksh.600,000.
Various victims said had been threatened with death after asking their money back.
The suspect is also said to have been on his hide-out after getting intelligence of his coming arrest.
Earlier in the year, the suspect was being sought by police officers for obtaining Ksh.98,000 from Caroline Karimi whom he had promised a firewood supply contract at a local school.
He is also said to have received Ksh.320,000 from Joseph Mwangi after lying that he would sell him a piece of land in Kutus.
