Oscar  Sudi flown

 

Dramatic Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi was arrested after surrendered himself on Sunday morning at Langas police station.


He has been flown to Nakuru then will be flown to Nairobi later and taken to the National Cohesion and Integration (NCIC).


He faces hate speech and incitement charges.

Sudi hurried away to the Eldoret Airstrip and flown to Nairobi.


"We would like to confirm that Sudi offered himself and is in the safe custody of the police. He has been flown to the NCIC in Nairobi," his lawyer and Uasin Gishu Woman Representative Gladys Shollei said.


"He was not on the run and neither was he summoned. He walked into the station on his own," Shollei said.

He took to Facebook to post, "As a law-abiding citizen I have presented myself at Langas Police Station early this morning even before the officers arrive."


" It was unnecessary to be treated with a lot of drama by sending a contingent of police officers to my home. I was away the time police arrived at my place. Thank you all for standing with me."

 

" I texted the Police commander that they should not break my doors and windows i was somewhere else, " MP Oscar Sudi said.


Sudi was escorted by MPs Didmus Barasa, Caleb Kostany, Cornelius Serem, Governor Stephen Sang and Uasin Gishu Woman Representative Gladys Shollei.
