Nyandarua sick elderly who went viral being carried on a wheelbarrow to the hospital died on the way

 

 

Social media debate on county infrastructure ignited mix reactions after an elderly sick man in Nyandarua county who was being carried on a wheelbarrow died on his way to the hospital.

Due to the bad state of the county road network, netizens took to social media criticising the counties for not marking the county priorities.


The old man whose name was withheld could be seen sitting on a wheelbarrow being pushed by a young man as another pulled it from the front using a rope.

According to a Facebook page dubbed Nyandarua Live TV, the man, unfortunately, could not arrive at any health facility on time due to the poor state of the roads in the area and lost his life after about four painful hours on muddy, slippery spots.


"An aged man dies in Gathanji ward, Nyandarua county after means to take him to hospital failed. He died after four hours of struggle in a poor road," the post read.
