ODM boss Raila Odinga tour Taita Taveta county wooing residents to support handshake and Building bridges Initiative ahead of the proposed referendum.

 

Accompanied by Mombasa Governor Hassan Ali Joho and ODM secretary general Edwin Sifuna, Raila Odinga toured Part of Mughange, Wundanyi and Werugha.


The ODM leader landed at the Taita Hills Hotel airstrip for a two-day tour in Taita Taveta with the Governor Granton Samboja.

Odinga took a progressive county tour saying that like the rest of the Coast, has always supported change over the status quo through the years.

" The mood for change remains real here. Thank you, Taita Taveta for the warm welcome, " he said.

The last time Raila Odinga had a two-day tour in Taita Taveta was 2007 during general election campaigns.
 

On Thursday morning, the ODM leader held a consultative meeting with party MCAs from Taita Taveta County. The meeting centred on the growth of the party, legislative agenda and their involvement in strengthening devolution.

 
The party SG Edwin Sifuna and Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho also attended the meeting.
