Uhuru orders transfer of Kenya Meat Commission from Agriculture and Livestock to Defence Ministry

Kenya Meat Commission (KMC) has been transferred from the State Department of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries to the Ministry of Defence.

 

Agriculture CS Peter Munya directs Livestock PS Harry Kimtai to facilitate the transfer of Kenya Meat Commission to Ministry of Defence following an order by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

 

However, the Presidents' move will make the Meat industry secure in what the experts say " Beefing the security".

 

The President ordered agriculture CS Peter Munya to facilitate the transfer in order to revive the dead industry.
