Bodaboda at Kimbimbi Sub-county Hospital in Mwea

 

Chaos erupted at the Kimbimbi Sub-county Hospital in Mwea after 300 Boda Boda riders attacked the facility, seizing a patient who they lynched him later.


The riders then moved the patient from the hospital and bullfrog him 30 kilometres away from the facility before they killed him.


According to Nyangati Senior Chief Immaculate Wanjiru, the deceased was saved by police officers Thursday evening on the Mwea-Embu highway from a civilian who wanted to kill him for allegedly stealing a motorbike.


The Police took him to the hospital after the attack with severe wounds.
The deceased later confessed to having stolen five motorbikes in the past few weeks.


The alleged motorbikes were at a hideout in Murinduko.


The over the 300 riders went to find the bikes at Murinduko village only to be shocked realising that they deceived.

They went straightaway to the hospital on Friday afternoon.


Police officers said they were not prepared at the time to respond suitably.


The riders burnt the man beyond recognition was picked by police officers from the Kianyaga police station and moved to the Kerugoya Hospital Mortuary.
