Jakoyo Midiwo former Gem MP

An eviction notice has been issued to four famous personalities, among them Kisumu Senator Fred Outa, who occupy county houses.

According to Acting Kisumu City Manager Abala Wanga, the notices were issued over accrued rent arrears for the houses located at the posh Milimani estate.

Others who were sent eviction notices include former Gem MP Jakoyo Midiwo, businessman Erick Okeyo and one Pamela Olango have also been ordered to pay the arrears or leave.

Outa is said to owe the city Ksh. 1.7million in rent arrears while Midiwo reportedly owes Ksh. 876,000.

Okeyo and Olango are said to have arrears of Ksh. 5.4 million and Ksh.3.6million respectively.

The Kisumu City Manager reiterated that failure of the said individuals to pay rent contravenes section 2A of the tenancy agreement.

He added that it makes them liable for eviction and to have legal action instituted against them to recover the full amounts owed.
