Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko rejects Nairobi County Appropriation Bill 2020 saying it goes against the required fundamental section 24 in the County Government Act 2012.
The Governor said that after reviewing for a whole day, there is nothing inline with the act.
" After carefully reviewing the Nairobi City County Appropriation Bill 2020 passed by the County Assembly on October 8th, today I have rejected the Bill in its entirety, in accordance with Section 24 of the County Governments Act 2012, " he said.
Governor Mike Sonko has been in a continuing battle with Nairobi Metropolitan Service (NMS) boss Major-General Mohamed Abdalla Badi.
The major battle has been the allocation of funds to the county and NMS. However, Sonko has been in the forefront criticising the NMS boss for going against the laid down guidelines.
