Kilifi County holds youth ODM delegation from all Coast counties to brainstorm the way forward for the region.
More than 100 youth ODM leaders delegates from Kwale, Kilifi, Taita-Taveta, Mombasa, Lamu and Tana River and Kwale are meeting in Kilifi to structure youth agenda to the region.
Kilifi ODM youth leader Sam Nyundo said youth are now in the forefront in leadership and the ground has changed.
The move comes after fielding youth for the Ganda ward by-election who won the seat. The youth are now contemplating to campaign for their own at Dabaso ward in the next by-election.
Another debate was about the Msambweni by-election and how youths can support one of their own. However, already the ODM had a candidate after the ODM Nominations where Former Bongwe-Gombato MCA Omar Boga won the ticket.
Coast region considered to be an ODM stronghold. The youth meeting could be a starting point for changing the leadership narrative at the region come 2022.
