Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi on infotrak polls

Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi asked for investigations into research firm Infotrak over a poll that ranked him among the lowest performers.

He wants the national government through the Ethics and anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) to probe the firm over what he alleges was a fabricated study.

“Let them look at Infotrak. I am ready to go there and give testimony that they were asking for Ksh. 3 million so that they can give us a better number,” he said.

“I will never give a single cent to them. Let me be number 47 out of 47,” he added.

Infrotrak poll shows the Governor was ranked at position 38 out of 47 with a score of 46.7 per cent.

Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya positioned as the best performing county chief after he scored 82.3 per cent in the study.

In the second rank was Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya (77.1 per cent) then Makueni’s Kivutha Kibwana (74.4 per cent) and Kisumu’s Anyang’ Nyong’o (65.9 per cent.) closing top four.
