ODM leader Raila Odinga criticises Deputy President William Ruto over wheelbarrow donations as well counter the criticism of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) from the Tangatanga movement.

Raila was addressing participants at the Kisii State Lodge on Tuesday where he received the BBI report alongside President Uhuru Kenyatta.

He grabbed the minutes to address critics who have dismissed the BBI report as a waste of time.

“People saying it’s a waste of time, tuangalie watu wa chini, how do you address them if you don’t know them?” Raila posed.

Raila dismissed the wheelbarrow and mkokoteni intiative championed by DP Ruto, saying it is in bad faith.

He challenged DP Ruto of acting like he just fell from heaven, yet he has been in the government for the past 8 years.

“You did not drop from heaven like an angel, you have been around, is it that you just discovered watu wa mkokoteni?” Raila asked.

“If you are concerned, why give them wheelbarrows instead of your helicopter?”

ODM Chief criticism of DP William Ruto did not sit well with the DP allies with Senator Millicent Omanga taking to Twitter, asking how many helicopters Raila has given so far.
