A Makueni County MCA resigned from his seat as the Kitise/Kithuki ward representative to fight for a clerical job in the same county.

Kelvin Mutuku Mutiua presented his resignation after being shortlisted for an interview for the position of Clerk of the Makueni County Assembly.

The MCA will appear for the interview next week on Tuesday, November 24 for which he will battle it out with four other shortlisted candidates before the Makueni County Assembly Service Board.

His seat has already been declared vacant after his resignation letter, in which he mentioned personal reasons, was read at the Assembly by the Makueni County Assembly Deputy Speaker Nick Muthoka.

The speaker set to forward a report to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission to announce a mini-poll.
