Administration Police found red-handed kneeling on the bed to a minor both without clothes in the minor's bedroom in Kuria West.
Kennedy Kiplang’at from Kuria West in Migori County was on Tuesday evening (December 8) caught red-handed defiling an 8-year-old girl.
The suspect was found by the minor’s two female mates entering the minor’s bedroom at 6 pm. The children, thereafter, informed the victim’s mother.
The parent, who raced to the room, found Kiplang’at defiling the child.
Both the suspect and the victim in bed without clothes during the ambush.
The guardian, consequently, raised the alarm, drawing the neighbours’ attention.
Police have since confirmed that Kiplang’at is assigned to Getonganya police post.
A medical examination carried out on the victim at the Kuria West Hospital proved that the girl had been defiled.
Kiplang’at will be charged once investigations into his claimed offence are completed.
Parents have been urged to be always aware of the wellbeing of their children to avoid such acts.
