Education CS Prof George Magoha orders school heads to use tree shades as classrooms to achieve social distance.

He urged teachers to be innovative to achieve Social Distance when learning resumes in January.

In Rwanda,  the Government has constructed over 20,000 countrywide due to social distancing requirement.

“The ongoing countrywide school construction of the Rwanda Quality Basic Education for Human Development project phase 1 is at 81% on one-story classrooms, 85% for latrines and 45% for G+1,” Rwanda Ministry of Education in August said through a tweet.

G+1 are buildings that are double storied classroom blocks.

Additionally, the Ministry said the overall progress of Phase 2 that began in June is complete countrywide.

In a bid to curb overcrowding and long distances travelled by students going to and returning from schools, the Ministry of Education in June embarked on a plan to construct 22,505 classrooms.

The Rwandan Government is now ready for the new year education calendar with enough space.
