Police Officers car

A suspect detained at Turbo Police Station in Uasin Gishu County on Friday, December 25 flew from custody after splashing urine on the face of a police officer manning him.

Benjamin Maloba splashed the urine, which was in a bucket, on the face of Joseph Thuranira in the wee hours of Christmas Day.

Maloba tasked to cleaning the holding cells when he requested Thuranira to escort him to the latrine so that he could empty the bucket which had been filled with urine.

While en-routing to the toilet, Maloba emptied the bucket full of urine on Thuranira’s face before fleeing to an unknown destination.

Police said Maloba had been arrested after a court freshly issued a warrant of arrest against him over an undefined offence.

Police officers have launched an investigation as well as began man-hunt for the disappeared suspect.
