Doctors mourn Dr Stephen Mogusu, 28, who succumbed to COVID-19 at Kenyatta University hospital

Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists Union mourn the death of their member Dr Stephen Mogusu.

Just hours after the Secretary-General KMPDU Dr Chibanzi Mwachonda asked the public to donate for their colleague who was battling the naval virus in ICU at Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital.

"The family of Dr. Stephen Mogusu a frontline soldier who is battling for his life in ICU due to COVID-19 Complications is appealing to Kenyans of goodwill to contribute for his urgent medical expenses. The sad reality of our doctor, " he said.

He has been also battling depression after being in work for over four months without pay. 

"Devastating to announce the demise of 28 yr old Dr Stephen Mogusu who has succumbed to COVID-19 complications At the time of his death he had not received his salary for 5 months, had no insurance and his young family left with no compensation. Too steep a price for Patriotism, " KMPDU officials stated.
