Former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama and Belgut MP Nelson Koech released from Police custody after being arrested over verbal allegations of voter bribery with not no written charge sheet.

Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama said the Police arrested them so that the leaders, can assembly at Police headquarters and continue rigging the elections.

However, the Ex-Senator added that after realising that none was coming for their rescue, the ODM did not have any other option than concede defeat.

" We knew they wanted to arrest us with no charges so that Hon. Aisha Jumwa, Hon. Mohammed Ali, Hon. Omar Hassan and others to come to the Police station, then taken them round so that rigging could take place in Msambweni, " he said.

" I told them to continue safeguarding the votes and leave us alone in the Police cells until the IEBC announce the winner. We got their scheme. It failed terribly, " he added.

" We have been released from the Police custody with no charges. We were taken to Mombasa then back to Diani with no charges. We have been freed on Sh 30,000 each bond, " he added.

" No charges at all. They just took us in circles. From the office to the other. From one cell to the other. Nothing at all, " MP Nelson Koech said.
