Father to Wajir Woman Representative Fatuma Gedi, Mzee Gedi Ali, dies in Nairobi

Wajir Woman Representative Fatuma Gedi mourns following her father Mzee Gedi Ali, sudden death on Sunday night in Nairobi.


His death was declared by Wajir Senator Farhiya Haji who sent her condolence message via her official social media accounts.


“I would like to send my condolences to my sister and parliamentary colleague, Hon Fatuma Gedi, Wajir County Woman Representative, whose father passed on in Nairobi.


"May Allah rests Mzee Gedi Ali’s soul in Jannah and relatives get patience and strength to cope with the loss of a pillar of their lives,” Senator Haji said.

The cause of his death is still unclear. Leaders from the North-Eastern block sent condolences.

By Monday morning, social media was full of condolences messages directed to the leaders' family.
