Former Kaloleni MP Chea Gunga Mwinga,45, dies at Mombasa Hospital after a short illness.

Gunga succumbed to the naval virus after being hospitalized for several days.

He passed on at the Mombasa hospital on Sunday morning at the age of 45 years.

Reports show that Ex-MP Gunga has been in quarantine after he was diagnosed with the naval virus.

The Former MP is an alumnus of Ribe Boys high school.  After being removed by Paul Katana in 2017, the MP relocated to Kilifi North where he was residing before his death. 

 

"I knew him as a unique, astute lawyer with a  beautiful paradox of gentleness,  strength, humility, dignity, disciple, sage and servant  Leader, " Kaloleni MP Paul Katana said.

Gunga, a lawyer by profession was the Kaloleni MP between 2013-2017. He won the seat through KADU asili ticket. 

 

MP Paul Katana ousted Gunga Mwinga in the 2017 elections.


"Gunga Mwinga was not just a leader, he was to a friend, a brother and one we regularly exchanged notes, " he added.


 "Gunga never held any Political grudges we would do all our politicking but whenever we met we would share light moments even immediately after leaving the podium we would still laugh and he would tell me, " he concluded.
