KFCB Kisima awards 2020

 KFCB now empowers Sinema Mashinani on the Kisima awards 2020 ceremony.

KFCB boss Ezekiel Mutua says the board is keen in supporting talents across the country.

The strategic collaboration with KFCB and KisimaAwards2020 is anchored on the Sinema Mashinani initiative that seeks to support local talent for wealth and job creation in line with the Presidential Big Four Agenda.



The KFCB CEO Ezekiel Mutua believes that it is time for Africa to tell her story and to awaken her progressive cultural traits and indefatigable spirit. 



KFCB avails the Nairobi Film Centre, formerly Nairobi Cinema, to the organizers of the Kisima Music and Film Awards and other partners to support the youth in mentor-ship.

 

The chief guest at the Kisima award ceremony was Devolution CS Eugene Wamalwa at Sarit centre.



Kisima Music and film awards dubbed ‘Reviving the Spirit, Soul and Vibrancy of Africa through Music and Film" will enhance collaborations between Government and the private sector in their efforts to support creatives whose works tell authentic African stories.


The Kisima Music Awards does not only recognize talent in Africa but recognizes creators all across Eastern Africa i.e Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.

" Kisima awards 2020 is aligned to the Board's desire as a Board to see more authentic Kenyan stories told through film, but more importantly the appreciation for clean content, " KFCB boss said.

The theme is rooted in the collective efforts of the Government and private sector to come together to support the creative industry, especially our talented youths.

Kisima Awards is back after a 7 years pause and the Music Awards is back and this year’s event is bigger, bolder and Pan African.
